Provincial Grand Lodge

Annual General Meeting

Fri 09 Jan 2009

Bro. James L. Jack, Provincial Grand Master presided over a very large attendance (191) at the Annual General Meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge which was held in Uddingston last evening.

It was noted by the Provincial Grand Master that the Province of Lanarkshire Middle Ward has donated over £100,000 to Non Masonic charities over the last 2 years, a truly excellent acheivement by all involved. In addition to this the Provincial caravan fund  grows and is near to the £25,000 mark, which again is a super effort and above all expectations.

We have one very notable acheivement from a Lodge perspective in respect of one of our own Brethren which is as follows:

“After serving as the Lodge representative on Provincial Grand Lodge Committee since 2001, we would like to congratulate Bro. Bill Cullen PM on his preferment to the Office of Vice President of Stewards in the Provincial Grand Lodge of Lanarkshire Middle Ward at their AGM on 9th January 2009 and wish him every success for the years ahead”.

If any Brother requires further information in regards to the Provincial Grand Lodge AGM, please speak with Bro. Bill or the Worshipful Wardens.

Ceremony of Installation

Sat 20 Dec 2008

The Ceremony of Installation of the RWM elect Bro. George McPheat and his Office Bearers took place in the Masonic Temple, Wood Street, Coatbridge.

The Installation Ceremony was again conducted in the most eloquent and impressive manner. The day’s events were witnessed by The Right Worshipful Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro James Shanks, accompanied by the Provincial Grand Master Bro. James L. Jack along with a fine and distinguished Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Lanarkshire Middle Ward.

The Right Worshipful Master Bro. George McPheat would wish to most sincerely thank his Installing Masters for an excellent ceremony along with the Brethren of Whifflet St John 963 for affording him such an honour and he hopes that those Brethren present enjoyed the occasion as much as he did.
